The Meth Lab is the first feature film produced by writer/director Ron Johnson. The script had it's beginnings associated with "Project Greenlight" back in 2003 during the 3rd season of the show. Knowing it probably wouldn't make it past the first round of the competition Ron wanted the valuable feedback which was part of the competition. Every contestant had to read atleast 3 other screenplays and rate them. Most of the feedback was good critical feedback. Now in 2011 and 18 re-writes later The Meth Lab is slated to begin principle photography in Sept 2011 and finish shooting in October. Being produced with Restraining Hollywood a buzz is being generated throughout the state and the west coast.

Our Goals

We are looking for investors to raise 20 thousand dollars to complete the shooting and marketing budget. If we can find 20 people with 1K each that works. 4 people with 5K, any combination that puts us at our goal will work. Why will this project succeed?
The Snowbate. Film shot in Minnesota under 5 million dollars get at 15% rebate on money spent in Minnesota. That's an instant return on our investment.
All investments are tax deductable with my assocation with IFP Minnesota and their 501C.
I'm the writer/director/editor. That's money we don't have to spend up front.
The investors will be paid back their initial investment before the production starts taking any split on proceeds.

We are teamed up with Restraining Hollywood and we all have a passion for independent film. Our goal is to create an exciting well told stories that look great on screen.
